Lilys emerge from a long stint at SpinArt
on British indie Che with this new jangly 7"-just the stuff for a sparkling
spring day-and an album set for domestic release in September. Bandleader
Kurt Heasley has traded in the peels of white guitar noise he's often
associated with for a crisp, Byrds-meets-Left Banke aesthetic-twangy,
radiant guitar lines and audible vocals. Where the A-side soars with pop-fueled
abandon, the flip-side,"Touch The Water," is a more garagey, hip-shakin'
number with a decidedly British/mod sound.
